Deep Toor Dal (Dry) is unpolished, unoiled split pigeon peas in a 1.8kg pack. It is the everyday dal of Indian homes, used for dal tadka, Gujarati dal, South Indian sambar, rasam and Maharashtrian varan. Rinse well and pressure cook until soft before tempering. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.
